14 California Dealers Award 142 Scholarships to California College Students T his year, the California New Car Dealers Association (CNCDA) Scholarship Foundation awarded scholarships to 142 California col- lege students enrolled in automotive technology and automotive management programs. A total of $109,667 will be distributed to these deserving students! Many of the student recipients are already employed at franchised dealerships, including: Funds in the Scholarship Foundation have been donated by Dealers, Manufacturers, and friends of the industry. Since 1995, the Foundation has awarded $1,091,437 in scholarships to 1,326 deserving students preparing to enter into the workforce at a California new car dealership. Through its Scholarship Foundation, CNCDA continues to carry out the impor- tant mission of encouraging and supporting students interested in careers in the automotive industry. Established in 1994, the foundation seeks to attract skilled, talented, and motivated individuals, elevating the stature of the auto- motive industry.
